We are delighted to be recruiting a dedicated and motivated Key Stage 1 Teacher to join a welcoming and progressive primary school in Milton Keynes from January 2026. This full-time position presents a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher who is passionate about early years and primary education, and who is committed to nurturing children during these vital formative years.

As a Key Stage 1 Teacher, you will play a crucial role in supporting pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development. Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum
- Creating a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment that supports learning and promotes good behaviour
- Using effective assessment strategies to monitor progress, identify next steps, and adapt teaching to meet individual needs
- Supporting the development of core skills in reading, writing, mathematics, and wider curriculum subjects
- Encouraging independence, creativity, curiosity, and problem-solving through purposeful and interactive learning experiences
- Supporting pupils' personal development, confidence, and emotional wellbeing
- Working closely with teaching assistants and support staff to maximise pupil outcomes
You will be an active member of the school community, contributing positively to its wider life. This will include:
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and contribute to curriculum planning
- Building strong and effective relationships with parents and carers to support learning at home
- Attending staff meetings, training sessions, and school events
- Engaging in ongoing professional development and reflective practice to continually enhance teaching quality
The successful applicant will demonstrate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Proven experience teaching within Key Stage 1
- A strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and assessment frameworks
- A passion for early education and developing confident, independent learners
- Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills
- The ability to differentiate effectively to meet the needs of all learners
- A proactive, reflective, and professional approach to teaching and development
