Experienced Behaviour Mentor Wanted – Elstree
Location: Elstree, Hertfordshire
Start Date: ASAP / October 2025
Contract: Part-time, flexible hours
Salary: £90 to £110 per day (dependent on experience)
Supply Desk is seeking a skilled and compassionate Behaviour Mentor to support pupils at a well-regarded school near Elstree. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work closely with young people who require additional behavioural support in a positive and nurturing environment.
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a vital role in helping students develop social and emotional skills, manage behaviour effectively, and engage fully with their learning. The school prides itself on creating a supportive culture where every pupil can thrive.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working as a Behaviour Mentor or similar role supporting children and young people
- Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and emotional support
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, resilience, and a positive, empathetic approach
- Ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff, parents, and external agencies
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted behavioural support to pupils, including 1:1 mentoring and group work
- Develop and implement behaviour plans tailored to individual needs
- Monitor progress and report on outcomes to school staff and parents
- Promote positive relationships and a calm, structured environment
- Support pupils in developing coping strategies and social skills
