About the Role

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and inclusive Psychology lessons in line with the National Curriculum and examination board specifications at Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5.
- Create a positive, safe, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, confidence, and a passion for learning.
- Teach a broad and balanced Psychology curriculum, enabling students to develop their understanding of key psychological theories, research methods, and real-world applications.
- Assess, monitor, and record students' progress, using assessment data to inform planning and provide targeted support where required.
- Prepare students for internal assessments and public examinations, ensuring they achieve their full academic potential.
- Promote positive behaviour and high expectations in line with the school's behaviour policy.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, parents, and the wider school community to enhance student progress and wellbeing.
- Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are followed at all times.
Requirements
- Strong subject knowledge and a thorough understanding of the Psychology curriculum and examination requirements.
- Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to engage, motivate, and inspire students.
