Are you an experienced and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity?
We are seeking a confident and enthusiastic HLTA to join a welcoming and supportive school, where you'll play an important role in supporting pupils' learning, development, and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
- Support teachers in delivering engaging, inclusive, and effective lessons across the curriculum.
- Lead and deliver lessons or learning activities in the absence of the class teacher, where required.
- Provide targeted support to individual pupils and small groups, helping them to develop their academic, social, and emotional skills.
- Support pupils with additional needs, adapting activities and resources to meet individual learning requirements.
- Assist with planning, preparing, and adapting learning resources and classroom activities.
- Monitor and assess pupils' progress, providing feedback to teachers and contributing to appropriate learning strategies.
- Promote positive behaviour and maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, support staff, parents, and other professionals to support pupil progress and wellbeing.
- Encourage pupils to develop confidence, independence, and positive attitudes towards learning.
- Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are followed at all times.
Requirements
- HLTA qualification or relevant experience working at a higher level within a school setting is desirable.
- Strong communication, organisation, and classroom management skills.
- Confidence in leading learning activities and supporting lessons independently when required.
- A positive and proactive approach to supporting pupil learning and development.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- A current enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
