Supply Desk is working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school in the Beaconsfield area to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic EYFS Teacher. This role would suit an engaging and creative teacher with a strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, who is committed to fostering a love of learning and supporting children’s early development.

The Role

As an EYFS Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting children during the most important stage of their development, helping to build strong foundations across all areas of learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning and delivering engaging, creative, and age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework
  • Supporting children’s development in communication and language, early literacy, numeracy, and personal, social, and emotional development
  • Creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
  • Observing, assessing, and tracking children’s progress in line with EYFS standards
  • Supporting children of varying abilities, including those with SEN
  • Encouraging curiosity, independence, and confidence through play-based learning
  • Building strong relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues
  • Working collaboratively with teaching assistants and the wider school team

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – Desirable
  • Experience within EYFS or early years settings
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development
  • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
  • A nurturing, creative, and engaging teaching style
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Desirable: Experience in Nursery or Reception classes
  • Knowledge of phonics programmes (e.g., Little Wandle or similar)
  • Experience supporting children with SEN
  • Knowledge of EYFS assessment and progress tracking
  • Understanding of safeguarding and early years best practices
