Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
- Assist pupils in accessing the curriculum by adapting learning activities to meet their individual needs.
- Encourage the development of communication, social, emotional, and independence skills.
- Support pupils in managing behaviour and emotions using positive behaviour strategies.
- Work closely with teachers and the SEND team to implement individual learning and support plans.
- Build positive relationships with pupils to promote confidence, engagement, and wellbeing.
- Assist with classroom activities, routines, transitions, and sensory needs where appropriate.
- Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teaching staff.
- Promote an inclusive, safe, and supportive learning environment.
- Follow safeguarding policies and procedures at all times.
