Contract: Part time – ASAP start

Salary: £82.20 - £100 per day

About the School: A dedicated, trauma-informed, therapeutic primary special school in the Andover area providing a supportive and nurturing environment for pupils with a range of additional needs. Their focus is on helping every child grow in confidence, independence, and emotional wellbeing through tailored learning experiences. With a strong emphasis on care, respect, and personal development, they create opportunities for pupils to thrive both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, under the guidance of class teachers and the SENCO
  • Helping to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies
  • Creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment
  • Working collaboratively with teaching staff, parents/carers, and external professionals
  • Encouraging independence, confidence and communication skills in learners

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Has experience working with children with SEND (particularly ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or speech & language needs)
  • Is patient, empathetic and resilient with a strong sense of humour
  • Communicates clearly and effectively
  • Can work flexibly and adapt to the needs of individual pupil
  • Hold classroom support qualifications (desirable)
