The Role:
We are seeking a dedicated PE Teacher to deliver high-quality lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. This long-term cover position begins in January and will run until Easter 2026. The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting physical activity, building student confidence, and encouraging healthy, active lifestyles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons across KS3 and KS4 in line with the national curriculum
- Inspire and motivate students to participate in a wide range of sports and physical activities
- Monitor progress, assess performance, and provide constructive feedback
- Create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
- Contribute to extracurricular clubs, fixtures, and whole-school initiatives
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Degree in Physical Education or a related subject
- Experience teaching PE at secondary level (KS3/KS4)
- Strong subject knowledge and understanding of curriculum expectations
- Excellent communication, organisation, and behaviour management skills
