Supply Desk is working closely with a warm, welcoming primary school in Amersham who are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Nursery / EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team on a full-time basis. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about early childhood development and supporting young children to grow in confidence, independence, and curiosity.
About the Role
You will work closely with the class teacher and Early Years team to support children aged 3–5 within Nursery or Reception. Your role will be vital in creating a nurturing, engaging, and safe learning environment where children can thrive socially, emotionally, and academically.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting children’s learning through play-based and structured activities
- Assisting with daily routines, including phonics, reading, and early numeracy
- Encouraging positive behaviour, independence, and social development
- Supporting children with personal care where required
- Helping set up engaging learning environments indoors and outdoors
- Building warm, positive relationships with children and staff
