About the Role
Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated Key Stage 2 (KS2) Primary Teacher looking for your next opportunity? Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and inclusive lessons in line with the National Curriculum for Key Stage 2.
- Create a positive, safe, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity, confidence, independence, and a love of learning.
- Teach a broad and balanced curriculum, supporting pupils in developing their literacy, numeracy, and wider academic skills.
- Assess, monitor, and record pupils' progress, using assessment data to inform planning and provide targeted support where required.
- Prepare pupils for statutory assessments where appropriate, ensuring they are confident and well-supported in reaching their full potential.
- Promote positive behaviour and high expectations in line with the school's behaviour policy.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, teaching assistants, parents, and the wider school team to support pupils' progress and wellbeing.
- Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are followed at all times.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and effective classroom practice.
- Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to engage, motivate, and inspire pupils.
- A commitment to creating an inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
