Job Description

Supply Desk are supporting a welcoming and well-regarded secondary school in Southampton in their search for a dedicated RE Teacher to join their team from October 2026.

This is a full-time position teaching Religious Education across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the role expected to continue until April 2027. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and thought-provoking lessons, encouraging students to explore a range of beliefs, values, and ethical issues while developing critical thinking and discussion skills.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Religious Education at secondary level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for RE.
  • Excellent classroom management skills.
  • Ability to engage and motivate students of all abilities.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
