Supply Desk are seeking a professional, caring, and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive school in the Berkhamsted area, starting this September.
This full-time role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting children and helping them overcome barriers to learning. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, patient, adaptable, and committed to creating a positive and supportive learning environment where every pupil is encouraged to reach their full potential.
You will work closely with teachers and other members of staff to support pupils both within the classroom and, where appropriate, on a one-to-one or small-group basis. You will help pupils engage with their learning, develop their confidence and independence, and make positive progress both academically and socially.

Responsibilities
- Support pupils with their learning and development in the classroom
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support where required
- Assist teachers with the delivery of engaging learning activities
- Encourage pupils' confidence, independence, and positive behaviour
- Support pupils with additional learning needs where appropriate
- Contribute to extra-curricular activities and after-school clubs
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver the best possible outcomes for pupils
Requirements
- Experience working with children or within an educational setting
- A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- A positive and inclusive approach
- Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding procedures
- A patient, caring, and adaptable attitude
- Ability to work effectively as part of a wider school team
