Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver stimulating, well-structured lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum, ensuring the needs of all learners are met
- Establish a positive, inclusive classroom environment with high expectations for behaviour and achievement
- Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress, using data to shape future planning and targeted support
- Encourage pupils to think independently, develop problem-solving skills, and engage confidently with their learning
- Work closely with colleagues to share best practice and contribute to wider school development
- Build effective relationships with parents and carers to support pupil learning and wellbeing
- Take an active role in staff meetings, school activities, and ongoing professional development
Person Specification
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching KS1
- Strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and effective teaching and assessment methods
- A commitment to supporting pupils to become motivated, independent learners
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Reflective, proactive, and eager to engage in continuous professional development
