About the Role
Supply Desk are looking for a passionate, caring, and qualified Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join a welcoming and supportive nursery team in the Hemel Hempstead area.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced early years professional who is committed to creating a positive learning environment where children feel safe, supported, and encouraged to reach their full potential.
As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a key role in providing high-quality care and education while supporting children s learning, development, and wellbeing in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain a safe, welcoming, stimulating, and inclusive environment for children aged 0 5.
- Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework.
- Encourage and support children s individual learning, development, and wellbeing.
- Develop positive and professional relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues.
- Monitor, observe, assess, and accurately record children s progress and development.
- Follow all safeguarding, health, and safety procedures and ensure children s welfare remains a priority.
- Support the smooth running of daily nursery routines, including mealtimes and personal care.
Requirements
- Full and relevant Level 3 Childcare qualification (or equivalent)
- Previous experience working within a nursery or early years setting (desirable)
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding practices
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A positive, caring, and proactive attitude
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
