NHS Supply Chain currently has an opportunity for a Programmer Analyst to join our team during an exciting period of transformation, working to make it easier for the NHS to put patients first. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Programmer Analyst to join our technology and data team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining software solutions that support supply chain operations, improve system performance, and enable smarter insights through data. You will work closely with business stakeholders, analysts and developers to translate requirements into scalable, reliable systems that enhance service delivery.
Every day you will:
- Support and maintain data architecture for commercial allowing for consistent reporting across all directorates.
- Support the data collection process from a wide range of sources to analyse key themes and identify possible impacts on the business.
- Document complex “as-is” and “to-be” processes and describe the changes required to migrate to the “to-be” capability to record accurately the change required.
- Support the team to help with the alignment of business data, leverage expertise in data science and analytics to enhance insight capability, application and solution building for the business-wide efficiencies.
- Support with insight creation and solutions building for commercial teams.
- Responsible for interpretation, analysis and presentation of data using a variety of tools including: Excel, Access, SQL, Alteryx, Power BI, Cognos, Python, Power Apps, Power Automate.
