Location: Hybrid – 1-2 days a week in one of our offices (Nottingham, Alfreton, Sheffield, Daresbury, Wakefield or London)

NHS Supply Chain currently has an opportunity for a Resilience Advisor to join our team during an exciting period of transformation, working to make it easier for the NHS to put patients first. As part of our Resilience team your role will be to manage the response to supply chain disruptions and co-ordinate response activity across the resilience value stream (supplier management, inventory and logistics, procurement & customer). Manage Supply Chain Resilience activity and support key improvement initiatives. Develop reporting and analytics to support the Supply Chain Resilience strategy. Support cross functional teams and drive adherence to Supply Chain Resilience processes. Support the resilience manager on high level supply chain disruptions and business improvement initiatives.

Every day you will …

  • Work alongside inventory colleagues to identify stock position of disrupted lines, bringing in clinical support to ensure alternatives are fit for purpose and analyses the potential for disruption across one product to impact demand and therefore stock of other products.
  • Develop a holistic view of the inventory position and use this to inform decision making in relation to each disruption.
  • Investigate standard incidents using current regulatory and compliance processes, systems and procedures, and take action to solve immediate compliance issues.
  • Advise more senior colleagues on more complex problems.
  • Elicit complex business requirements using a variety of methods such as interviews, document analysis, workshops, and workflow analysis to express the requirements in terms of target user roles and goals.
  • Continuously seek ways to improve, identifying lessons learned and bringing these back to the team to feed into ongoing improvement initiatives.
  • Manage customer communication as required to ensure clear and effective messaging to customers when supply is impacted.
