RATE: up to £30.57ph (umbrella, depending on experience) TYPE: LOCUM Social Worker TEAM: Family Safeguarding HOURS: (37 hours per week)

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse and complex caseload, undertaking assessments, care planning and interventions.
  • Assess and manage risk, making informed, evidence-based decisions, including contributing to safeguarding and court proceedings.
  • Apply relevant legislation, policies and best practice to deliver effective, child-focused services.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with children, families and multi-agency partners.
  • Deliver a range of interventions, reviewing outcomes and adapting plans where required.
  • Maintain accurate case records and prepare high-quality reports, including court documentation.
  • Undertake preventative work to reduce risk and support families to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Contribute to effective multi-agency working and continuous service improvement.

Social Worker Experience & Requirements - Qualified Social Worker with a recognised Social Work qualification. - Current Social Work England registration. - Commitment to Continuing Professional Development (CPD). - Experience working with children and families - Ability to manage complex caseloads and make sound, evidence-based decisions. - Strong knowledge of children's legislation, policies and statutory frameworks. - Excellent communication, assessment and relationship-building skills. - Current enhanced DBS Disclosure - Eligibility to work in the UK without work permit or visa restrictions
