HOULRY RATE: £25.34 (PAYE) or £28.40 (umbrella) TYPE: LOCUM TEAM: Adult Safeguarding HOURS: Full Time (35 hrs pw) As a Social Worker within the Adult Safeguarding Service, you will manage complex safeguarding enquiries, working closely with adults, carers, advocates, providers and partner agencies to achieve meaningful outcomes. Key responsibilities include: * Receiving and assessing safeguarding concerns and identifying immediate risks * Undertaking and coordinating Section 42 Enquiries under the Care Act 2014 * Supporting adults to identify and achieve their desired safeguarding outcomes * Assessing mental capacity, consent and advocacy requirements * Developing and reviewing safeguarding plans to reduce risk and promote wellbeing * Gathering and analysing information from multiple agencies to inform decision-making * Leading and participating in multi-agency safeguarding meetings * Managing complex risks including domestic abuse, self-neglect, exploitation and organisational abuse * Maintaining high-quality, analytical case records and reports * Contributing to quality assurance, learning and continuous service improvement Must have * Sound knowledge of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Human Rights Act 1998 * Strong risk assessment and analytical skills * Excellent communication and professional challenge skills * Experience producing accurate case records and reports * Understanding of strengths-based and person-centred practice * Ability to manage competing priorities and statutory deadlines Locum Social Worker Requirements - Proven post qualifying experience in working with Adult services - Current Enhanced DBS Disclosure - Social Work England recognised qualification (CQSW, DipSW, CSS or equivalent) - Eligibility to work in the UK without work permit or visa restrictions - Commitment to the safe care and well-being of vulnerable people Benefits - Excellent Rates - Refer-a-friend scheme* - Assistance with DBS applications - Dedicated consultant support - Varied career and flexible working opportunities If you are interested in this Social Worker position please apply online or call us directly.
