JOB TITLE: Assistant Building Surveyor - Building Services & Maintenance
SALARY: £39,276 - £42,771 per annum
TYPE: PERMANENT
HOURS: This is a Full time role
We are recruiting for an Assistant Building Surveyor to join a well-established Building Services & Maintenance team in North London. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a varied estate that includes corporate buildings, schools, libraries, and community assets, while working towards RICS APC professional accreditation with structured support and development.
What you'll be doing:
- Assisting with building and condition surveys
- Supporting project delivery, contract administration and tender processes
- Producing drawings, specifications and technical documentation
- Supporting compliance activities including fire safety, asbestos management and accessibility standards
- Conducting site inspections and building assessments
- Working alongside experienced surveyors on a range of maintenance and improvement projects
- Contributing to feasibility studies, project planning and stakeholder engagement
What we're looking for:
- Knowledge or experience within building surveying, construction, or property maintenance
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively
- Interest in developing a professional career within Building Surveying and working towards RICS membership
- Experience with surveys, specifications, CAD drawings or project support would be advantageous
