Friday with some flexibility based on the individual. We have an opportunity for a Deputy Manager to join our dynamic team within our childrens home in the
Rhondda Cynon Taff area . Supporting up to 4 Young People with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties. All our homes are based in a semi-rural location. We provide a homely environment where Young People feel secure, supported, and nurtured so if you have a passion for providing therapeutic care & to make a positive impact to those in need, then please get in touch with us. Your Role As a Deputy you will support the registered manager in the running of the home, ensuring compliance with regulation and statutory requirements, along with our organisations policy, procedures and ethos. You will be required to deputise in the managers absence, supporting staff in addition to the children and young people Requirements to be a Deputy Care Manager: Essential QCF/NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care or equivalent Previous experience as a Deputy Manager or a Shift Leader, within a residential setting. Full UK manual drivers licence Minimum age 22 Passion to make a difference Strong communication skills with internal and external agencies Ability to remain calm and patient under pressure Basic IT skills Flexibility of working hours Able to act as a positive role model Knowledge & understanding of Statutory requirements & regulations Knowledge & understanding of Health & Safety, and risk assessments Desirable Level 3 qualification specific in Health & Social Care or Equivalent Registered with Social Care Wales or must register within initial 6 months in residential care Experience of working with children Experience of residential childcare Welsh Speaker What we Offer: Competitive pay with structured progression 28 days annual leave per year, plus an additional 1 days per year, up to a maximum of 5 days Birthday day off Opportunity to progress & develop leadership and management skills Fully supported Induction throughout probation period Refer a Friend bonus scheme Fully funded milage allowance if working outside your allocated home.
