A supportive and independent ALN (Additional Learning Needs) school in Taunton is seeking a reliable and proactive School Administrator to support the Office Manager with the smooth running of all daily school operations. This is a vital front-of-house role where professionalism, safeguarding awareness, and attention to detail are essential.
Key Responsibilities- Front-of-house duties — greeting visitors, managing sign-in systems, ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed
- General administration — filing, photocopying, data entry, maintaining accurate records
- Attendance support — updating registers, liaising with staff regarding pupil attendance
- Communication management — answering calls, responding to emails, supporting parent enquiries
- Support to Office Manager — assisting with compliance tasks, documentation, and daily operational needs
- Safeguarding compliance — ensuring all procedures are followed in line with school policy
- Experience in school administration or a similar busy office environment
- Strong organisational and communication skills
