Registered Managers role £50,000 per annum Small unit Swansea. Suppleo Healthcare are currently working with a national children's and younger adults provider and are currently looking for a registered children's home manager to help run a small unit in Swansea. My client's ethos is they believe that every child has the right to feel safe, valued and loved. They guide and support our children to help them reach their full potential, and develop skills to help them into adulthood.

Overview: We are seeking a positive, dedicated and experienced Registered Home Manager to oversee accommodation, care and support for Children in Looked After Care aged 11-17 years old. The ideal candidate will be passionate about transforming lives, demonstrate strong leadership skills and have a commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of all children and staff in your care. This role involves working closely to our Statement of Purpose and maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements whilst creating a life changing environment for our young people. The care home will provide accommodation, care and support services for CYP who may have had traumatic upbringing resulting in behaviour that challenges. Children will be 8-17 years old, in looked after care with a range of support needs including behaviour that challenges, physical sensory or learning disability, and/or autism spectrum disorder.

Responsibilities:

  • Management of day-to-day operations within the care home, always ensuring the welfare of staff and children.
  • Building a safe, positive and preventative environment, in which staff and children are heard, understood and supported.
  • Ensure that the highest standards of care are maintained in accordance with regulatory requirements, including our Statement of Purpose.
  • Lead the senior and residential care team; set work rotas, provide supervision and coaching, ensure all training is attained, ensure high-quality care is delivered consistently.
  • Develop, implement, and review individual care plans tailored to each child's needs, promoting their physical, emotional, and social development. Ensure that each plan represents the Child's individuality.
  • Administer medication as prescribed and ensure proper documentation is maintained.
  • Foster an empowering environment for children, encouraging their participation in decisions and activities that involve them, and relate to their personal growth.
  • Ensuring the highest level of safety for staff and children, always.
  • Collaborate with Local Authority and Healthcare professionals, families, and external agencies to coordinate care effectively.
  • Monitor the wellbeing of children in the facility, addressing any concerns promptly and appropriately.
  • Continuous improve the way in which our Home operates, to maximise best outcomes for staff and opportunities for children.
