Are you a patient and empathetic tutor looking to make a difference in a student's life? Are you an educator looking for an opportunity to teach outside the classroom? We are seeking a dedicated individual to provide personalised tutoring sessions for students with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) such as Autism (ASD), Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) including Anxiety and Children Looked After (CLA) of all abilities and age groups from Early Years to KS5.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored tutoring sessions focusing on core subjects (English and Maths).
  • Create a supportive and encouraging learning environment to boost the students' confidence and engagement.
  • Offer guidance and assistance with writing tasks, providing structured prompts and feedback as needed.
  • Collaborate with the student's home and school resources, including materials provided by the school and other educational portals.
  • Flexibility in tutoring locations, including home tutoring around RCT.
  • Maintain open communication with the student and family to ensure their needs and concerns are addressed effectively.

  • Experience in tutoring or teaching.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with students who may require additional support.
  • Flexibility in scheduling and adapting teaching methods to accommodate the student's needs.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with the student, family, and other educational professionals.
