  • Record batch weights, observations, sample details, and results clearly in lab notebooks, formulation sheets, and digital logs.
  • Carry out stock checks of raw materials, flavours, consumables, packaging materials, and sample containers, flagging low inventory to the senior team.
  • Support the packing, labelling, and despatch of client samples, including preparation for courier collection and ensuring samples are presented professionally.
  • Follow all internal laboratory procedures, hygiene standards, safety rules, COSHH guidance, and GMP processes.
  • This role would suit someone at the start of their career who has an interest in science, food, flavours, supplements, nutrition, chemistry, or product development.

Basic numeracy skills, with confidence working with weights, percentages, quantities, and unit conversions.

  • Ability to follow written instructions, formulation sheets, and laboratory processes in the English language accurately.
  • Basic written and spoken English for sample records, labelling, logs, and communication with the team.
  • Willingness to learn new processes, follow training, and ask questions when unsure.
  • Desirable Skills ● Previous exposure to a food, flavour, supplement, nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, or cosmetics laboratory.
  • Internship, work experience, or practical training in a lab, food production, manufacturing, or technical environment.
  • Familiarity with digital weighing balances, blending equipment, sample preparation tools, or laboratory utensils.
  • Basic understanding of hygiene, safety, GMP, or food handling procedures.
  • Interest in supplements, flavours, nutrition, food science, chemistry, or product development.

Full Training Provided: Receive structured induction and practical on-the-job training from experienced flavourists, chemists, and technical team members.

Career Development: Build the foundations for a career in laboratory work, supplement development, flavour creation, or NPD.
