The Role
We are looking for a driven and personable Lead Editor to join our team in a full-time, permanent role (following a successful 3-month contract out period). This role offers a rare opportunity to shape editorial storytelling at the forefront of the global superyacht and luxury lifestyle industry. You will sit at the centre of our offering, driving editorial excellence while collaborating with commercial, video, and marketing teams to deliver impactful, multi-platform storytelling. You will lead and elevate our editorial output across all channels, shaping the narrative direction of the brand while staying hands-on with writing, editing, and content creation. You will manage a small editorial team and ensure a continuous stream of engaging, high-quality stories that reflect our authority, creativity, and luxury positioning. This role involves travel and coverage of international industry events, press trips, and other opportunities to capture compelling stories, destinations, and experiences in the global superyacht community. A key focus will be contributing to the Dominican Republic Superyacht Rendezvous, where you will lead editorial coverage and feature writing in the lead-up to the event and on location. This includes crafting destination-led features, industry insight pieces, and event-focused storytelling that builds anticipation and supports partners and sponsors, while positioning the Dominican Republic as an emerging luxury superyacht destination. You will also be responsible for the event website, developing all written content and overseeing its structure and presentation to ensure a cohesive, engaging, and on-brand digital presence.
Responsibilities
- Editorial Leadership: Develop and manage the editorial calendar, ensuring the delivery of compelling, high-quality stories each week
- Dominican Republic Superyacht Rendezvous — Website Ownership: Take full ownership of the event website, including writing all copy and building out the site to deliver a cohesive, engaging, and on-brand digital experience that supports partners, sponsors, and event objectives
- Social Media & Short-Form Video: Lead social media storytelling for the Dominican Republic Superyacht Rendezvous, including planning, creating, and publishing short-form video content and reels that build anticipation, capture on-location moments, and extend the event\’s reach
- Event & Destination Coverage: Lead all written coverage for the Dominican Republic Superyacht Rendezvous and related industry events, from pre-event to on-location reporting and post-event storytelling
- Team Management: Oversee and support a small editorial team, providing clear direction, constructive feedback, and motivation to maintain exceptional standards
- Collaboration & Content Creation: Work with writers, videographers, and commercial teams to brainstorm, write, and produce standout content across platforms with a focus on DR Superyacht Rendezvous storytelling
- Project & Film Development: Contribute to larger video and film projects, including storytelling concepts, scripting, and shot lists, particularly for DR Rendezvous promotion and coverage
- Content Curation: Source and select high-quality images and video to enhance editorial features and branded content, including event/destination-led content for the Dominican Republic
- Editing & Review: Ensure all published content is accurate, polished, and aligned with the brand voice and editorial values
Requirements
- Must be based in London
- Must be available to start immediately
- Must have a valid passport
- Proven experience in an editorial, content management, or senior journalism role
- Bachelor\’s degree in Journalism, English, Media and Communications or related subject
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Excellent organizational abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple deadlines
- Experience sourcing and managing multimedia assets (images, video)
- Strong leadership skills with a collaborative, supportive management style
- Flexibility and enthusiasm for contributing to creative projects across formats
