The Candidate Specification
We are recruiting for an experienced Laundry Master to join a private 75M+ new-build yacht. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is highly organised, experienced, and confident taking full ownership of a laundry operation from the outset.
As the sole Laundry Master on board, you'll have the opportunity to establish and organise the department, bringing your own expertise to the role and helping to put effective systems and standards in place. This will include advising on equipment and product ordering, as well as contributing to the creation of a comprehensive laundry bible for the yacht.
The yacht will have a very large, well-equipped laundry room with top‑of‑the‑range machinery. The laundry is also situated in a social area of the yacht, allowing you to work closely with the wider crew while independently managing the day-to-day operation.
The Head of House and Chief Stewardess will provide support with administration and the initial set‑up, while other interior crew will assist with laundry when required. The successful candidate will ultimately be responsible for keeping the laundry operation organised, efficient, and running to a consistently high standard.
The position offers 90 days' leave, with the rotation aiming for 3:1 wherever possible. There will be no swap‑outs while the owners are on board.
The successful candidate will initially be based ashore in an apartment until 31st October before the yacht heads to the US later in the year. Accommodation will be shared, and the candidate will also share a cabin once on board.
Candidates must already hold a valid B1/B2 visa in hand and Schengen visa, and be available to join on 1st October.
