Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team in a culinary role. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring high standards of food safety and quality. You will work with a team of staff supporting adults with learning disabilities to integrate into the working environment.
Duties
- Prepare ingredients and cook meals according to specified recipes and standards
- Assist in food preparation, including chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
- Ensure all food is stored correctly and rotation procedures are followed
- Support the team during busy periods by serving customers and managing orders efficiently
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to ensure a safe working environment
- Assist with inventory management, including stock checks and ordering supplies as needed
- Assist with training adults with learning difficulties
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation or cooking is essential
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Experience working in a restaurant or catering environment is advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Saturday work is essential

Pay: From £12.50 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
