Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team in a culinary role. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring high standards of food safety and quality. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic kitchen environment, contributing to the creation of delicious meals for our customers. You will work with a team of staff supporting adults with learning disabilities to integrate into the working environment.

Duties

  • Prepare ingredients and cook meals according to specified recipes and standards
  • Assist in food preparation, including chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
  • Ensure all food is stored correctly and rotation procedures are followed
  • Support the team during busy periods by serving customers and managing orders efficiently
  • Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to ensure a safe working environment
  • Assist with inventory management, including stock checks and ordering supplies as needed
  • Assist with training adults with learning difficulties

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in food preparation or cooking is essential
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
  • Experience working in a restaurant or catering environment is advantageous
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
  • Saturday work is essential

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From Β£12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
