Quality and Compliance Manager Shropshire Around £65 000 My client who are a highly respected, and rapidly growing food manufacturing business in the Shropshire area are on the lookout for a new Quality and Compliance Manager to join their growing Technical team. Typical responsibilities will include - * Leading technical compliance, food safety, quality, regulatory and customer technical requirements on site, while coordinating New Product Development (NPD) and product change. * Ensuring the products are safe, legal, authentic, and compliant with legislation, customer specifications, retailer requirements and recognised food safety standards * Managing the technical input from concept and trials through approval, launch and post-launch review * Lead the day-to-day technical compliance and provide technical guidance across the site * Lead, maintain and improve the Food Safety Management System, Quality Management System and HACCP-based controls including TACCP and VACCP * Maintain effective controls for hygiene, sanitation, allergens, foreign bodies, chemicals, water, temperature and cold chain, cross-contamination, waste, pest control and environmental monitoring. * Act as the primary site contact for customer, and retailer technical requirements. * Lead the technical aspects of NPD and product change from concept through trial, approval, launch and post-launch review inline with internal & customer requirements The ideal candidate will have - * Significant technical, quality or food safety experience within the food industry, ideally fresh produce, prepared foods, fresh-cut produce or a high-care environment. * Strong understanding of HACCP and food safety management systems * Experience managing customer and third-party audits, technical complaints, non conformances, specifications, and compliance. * Level 3 Haccp, Food Safety training etc If you are a quality / technical professional looking for a new, exciting challenge with a rapidly growing business - click apply now
