Multi-Skilled Engineer
We are currently looking for an experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer to join a busy food manufacturing environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer looking for a challenging role within a fast-paced production facility, where you will play a key part in keeping the site running safely and efficiently.
The Role
As a Multi-Skilled Engineer, you will be responsible for the planned and reactive maintenance of a wide range of production machinery and site services.
You will work closely with the production team to minimise downtime and ensure equipment is maintained to a high standard.
Key responsibilities include
- Carrying out planned preventative and reactive maintenance.
- Diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical faults.
- Supporting production to minimise equipment downtime.
- Working on a variety of food manufacturing and processing machinery.
- Completing maintenance records and reporting faults appropriately.
- Supporting continuous improvement and equipment reliability.
- Ensuring all work is carried out in line with health & safety and food hygiene standards.
- Working effectively as part of a wider engineering and production team.
About You
We are looking for a qualified and experienced engineer with a strong electrical and mechanical skill set, ideally with previous experience within food manufacturing, FMCG or a similar production environment.
You should be
- Multi-skilled with strong electrical and mechanical capabilities.
- Experienced in fault finding and preventative maintenance.
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible and willing to work a days and nights shift pattern.
- Safety-conscious with a proactive approach to maintenance.
- Ideally qualified to NVQ Level 3 / ONC / HNC or equivalent in an engineering discipline.
