Multi skilled engineer Thrapston area £51 000 4 ON 4 OFF Days and Nights (18 days off every 7 rotations!) A very successful FMCG businesses who are leaders in their category are expanding their engineering function. Our client is a leader in their field and they are looking for a highly qualified and driven Multi skilled engineer to compliment their excellent team. If you are an experienced multi skilled engineer, this could be the perfect role for you. They are looking for an accomplished multi skilled engineer to come in and enhance the team they have. This role is expected to support the current team but also be involved in future training and development of apprentices, which are a new focus of our client. Responsibilities include: * Carry out any repair or maintenance work (electrical and mechanical) that is required, whilst ensuring the working area is left in a clean and safe condition. * To ensure that all machinery, plant and buildings are maintained to the standards required by the company and consistent with current health and safety legislation. * Installation and modifying equipment to ensure that it is safe, reliable and efficient * Carry out scheduled servicing of all machinery and equipment. * Maintain close attendance of the production line, in order to provide engineering solutions, and assist in an operational capacity when required. * Help reduce production costs through engineering solutions. * Maintain accurate and timely records of root causes of failures and work carried out. * Maintain a stock take of spare parts materials and supplies that need replenishing * Ensure that the manufacturing process operates as smoothly as possible, reducing costly inefficiencies to a minimum whilst maintaining the integrity and safety. This is by no means an exhaustive list, the role has many more responsibilities and is planned to grow with the business as they continue to improve and develop over the coming years.
