We’re working in partnership with a leading food manufacturer to recruit a Hygiene & Sanitation Officer into their Quality team at their Kettering site. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly respected, forward-thinking business within the food industry, where quality, food safety, and continuous improvement are at the heart of everything they do.
The Role
This is a key position responsible for driving hygiene, sanitation, and cleaning validation standards across site. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring all CIP, disinfection, and SIP processes are compliant, validated, and audit-ready at all times. You’ll act as the go-to expert on cleaning systems, working cross-functionally with Quality, Engineering, and Production to maintain the highest food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead compliance and validation of CIP / SIP / disinfection systems across site
- Own audit readiness – supporting internal, external, and retailer audits
- Manage deviations, non-conformances, and CAPAs related to hygiene processes
- Oversee validation, monitoring, and verification of cleaning systems
- Drive improvements in manual cleaning processes and standards
- Support new projects with hygienic design and equipment validation
- Deliver training across teams to elevate hygiene and food safety standards
- Act as a key stakeholder in change management and continuous improvement initiatives
About You
We’re looking for someone who combines strong technical knowledge with the ability to influence and drive standards across a busy manufacturing environment. You will ideally have:
- Experience within food manufacturing / FMCG quality environments
- Strong knowledge of CIP, cleaning validation, and sanitation systems
- Understanding of HACCP, PRPs, and food safety standards
- Experience working cross-functionally with Engineering and Production teams
- A structured, detail-driven approach with strong communication skills
