My client is a long standing, successful design business within the manufacturing field. Due to ongoing growth they are on the lookout for a number of Design Engineers to join their successful design team. Reporting to the Head of Design you will be joining an exciting in-house design team in the development of new products, whilst providing creative and engineering support to the wider team working on a wide range of mass produced products for the global markets.
Typical responsibilities include:
- New product design / engineering / 3D modelling / visualization / 2D drawings for manufacture.
- Working with R&D, Quality, Operations departments and suppliers, establishing manufacturing controls, testing procedures and quality documentation.
- Creating renders & presentations of new and existing product for the sales & marketing team.
- Generation of part and product specifications and product manuals.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Degree in Design / Mechanical Engineering.
- 2 years + Proven track record of Design Engineering / Draughting experience within the manufacturing industry.
- Excellent CAD / 3D modelling skills (Solidworks).
