We’re looking for a dynamic and knowledgeable Learning and Development Assistant to join our fast-paced and growing team! This role is perfect for someone with a strong background in Commercial Insurance who’s passionate about supporting the growth of others and ready to transition into a learning and development career.
You’ll be helping to upskill colleagues across both client-facing and non-client-facing roles, sharing your expertise to support the development of subject matter experts across the business. You’ll also be helping shape our training culture, bringing energy and ideas to every session you deliver!
What you'll get up to:
- Deliver engaging training sessions to teams across the business, with a focus on commercial insurance knowledge.
- Use coaching techniques to follow up on learning and embed knowledge.
- Present confidently to groups of all sizes, both in-person and virtually.
- Encourage self-development and create buy-in across a wide range of audiences.
- Identify learning gaps and recommend creative, practical solutions using a range of formats.
- Keep organised records of sessions, coaching follow-ups, and evaluation feedback.
- Support with course design, training materials, and continuous improvement of programmes.
- Oversee and manage our internal Learning and Development hub/page, ensuring content is regularly uploaded, accurate, and up to date.
- Champion L&D in everyday conversations – embedding learning as a key part of culture by confidently exploring development opportunities across teams.
- Deliver regular business-wide updates on L&D initiatives, wins, and progress.
About you:
- Commercial insurance knowledge - ideally from a previous role within the commercial insurance industry.
- Comfortable delivering training and speaking publicly.
- Strong organisation and time management skills.
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to learn (you’ll teach us commercial, we’ll teach you L&D!).
- A passion for helping others grow and succeed.
- Experience in coaching, mentoring, or supporting the development of others.
- Familiarity with tracking training impact and reporting on ROI.
- A creative approach to learning delivery and engagement.
