We\\\βre an award-winning games studio known for producing dark storytelling titles such as the BAFTA-winning Until Dawn, the cinematic masterclass of The Dark Pictures Anthology, the multi-award-winning The Quarry, the world of Little Nightmares and many more!
Responsible for creating stunning visual effects that enhance the player experience and support the narrative of our games, the VFX Artist role will create exciting effects to propel our stories and characters to new heights and take subtle elements to breathtaking moments.
The role will work closely with the art, animation and other discipline teams to ensure all effects are seamlessly integrated into the game.
This is a Fixed Term contract until February 28th 2026
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-discipline teams to ensure VFX align with the game\\\βs artistic and technical vision
- Own and manage specific VFX areas, ensuring assets are performant, visually consistent, and meet platform requirements
- Iterate based on feedback and stay up to date with industry tools, trends, and techniques
Requirements
- Strong portfolio showcasing VFX work in games, film, or TV, ideally with cinematic or narrative-driven content
- Professional experience creating VFX in real-time engines like Unreal or Unity
- Proficient with tools such as Maya, Houdini, After Effects, and shader creation
- Solid understanding of VFX principles including particles, fluids, dynamics, and performance optimisation
- Able to take ownership of VFX areas with minimal supervision and deliver high-quality results
- Strong collaboration skills, with experience working across disciplines in a game development environment
- Creative, detail-oriented, and able to interpret concept art and briefs effectively
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with a proactive and adaptable mindset
- Passionate about pushing the boundaries of VFX in games
