We are recruiting for a Management Accountant in Whitstable. You will be responsible for producing accurate management accounts, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and helping to develop financial systems and processes within a growing organisation.

About the role

  • Prepare monthly management accounts including variance analysis and commentary.
  • Support the monthly close process ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Analyse financial performance and provide insights to support business decision-making.
  • Produce management reports and financial dashboards for senior management.
  • Support the Director of Finance in developing financial systems, reporting processes, and internal controls.
  • Assist with cash flow forecasting and financial planning.
  • Support the preparation of year-end accounts and audit requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and company policies.
  • Work closely with operational teams to provide financial analysis and cost control support.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and automation within finance processes.

About you

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
  • Proven experience preparing management accounts.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
  • Strong financial analysis and reporting skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, financial modelling).
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical ability.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a finance team.
  • You will have the right to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available) as well as a full UK driving licence.
