We know from experience that excellent care depends on dedicated people. Superior Healthcare is recruiting a Registered Children’s Nurse in Lydd, paying £29 – £31 per hour, to deliver individual, person-centred care to our client with complex care needs.

You’ll provide safe, compassionate clinical care while supporting the child’s comfort, development and everyday life. You’ll also build trusted relationships with their family and the professionals involved in their care.

Job description

As a Registered Children’s Nurse with Superior Healthcare, you’ll support a child with an individual care plan designed around their clinical, emotional and developmental needs. Care is delivered with the child and family at the centre. You’ll provide clinical support while helping create consistency, reassurance and opportunities for the child or young person to enjoy everyday life as fully as possible.

Our client is looking for a bubbly and reliable nurse who has experience with tracheostomy care, seizure management, enteral feeds and oxygen management. You’ll need at least six months’ experience in a care role, a full UK driving licence and a compassionate approach to care for this role.

You’ll receive any package-specific training required before delivering care independently, with clinical guidance and ongoing support available when needed. The role also offers opportunities to strengthen your experience in children’s complex care and develop your clinical career.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe, child-centred nursing care according to the individual care plan.
  • Monitor the child or young person’s clinical condition and general wellbeing.
  • Provide agreed clinical interventions within your competence.
  • Support medication management in line with the care plan and relevant procedures.
  • Recognise and respond appropriately to changes in health or behaviour.
  • Work closely with parents, carers and healthcare professionals.
  • Support development, independence and participation in everyday activities.
  • Maintain accurate care and clinical records.
  • Follow safeguarding and infection prevention procedures.
  • Build a consistent and reassuring relationship with the child and their family.

Requirements

  • Current NMC registration as a Registered Children’s Nurse.
  • Excellent communication and clinical observation skills.
  • A calm, compassionate and child-centred approach.
  • Understanding of professional boundaries and safeguarding responsibilities.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Full UK driving licence with access to your own vehicle.
  • At least 6 months children’s nursing experience in the UK.
