About the Role
You'll be providing one-to-one support to a wonderful young boy who enjoys:
- Cars
- Spending time with his cats and chickens
- Bright rainbow colours
- Music of all genres
- Being listened to, understood, and engaged with
He lives at home with his mum and requires support with a range of complex healthcare needs. Your role will involve helping him remain safe, comfortable, and able to enjoy everyday activities while receiving high-quality clinical care.
Clinical Needs
Experience supporting children with complex care needs is desirable. The client has the following diagnoses:
- Gastroschisis
- Short Gut Syndrome
- Growth Hormone Deficiency
Clinical responsibilities include:
- PEG care
- Hickman line awareness and safety
- Administration and support with medications
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- An excellent communicator
- Experienced in PEG care and paediatric support
- A confident driver with access to transport
- Friendly, chatty, and empathetic
- Eager to learn and develop their understanding of complex health conditions
