Superior Healthcare is recruiting Healthcare Support Workers to support a young client with complex care needs in her family home. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide person-centred care to a client who thrives on engagement, routine, and meaningful interaction. She benefits from carers who are warm, confident, and energetic, and who can build a trusting, supportive relationship. She enjoys a wide range of activities including arts and crafts, reading, and music. She is non-verbal but communicates effectively through lip reading and Makaton, and will often guide her care team on what activities she would like to do - so carers should be happy to follow her lead and fully engage. She also lives with a small, elderly dog, so being comfortable around pets is important.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing high-quality, person-centred care
- Supporting communication using lip reading and Makaton
- Encouraging and participating in activities such as arts, crafts, and reading
- Promoting independence, choice, and emotional wellbeing
- Responding to communication cues and building rapport
- Supporting clinical needs (including tracheostomy care if trained)

Shift Pattern
- Saturday & Sunday day shifts £15.40-£16.50 per hour
- Saturday and Sunday night shifts £16.50-£17.60 per hour

Requirements
- Previous care experience essential
