Support Worker - Brain Injury & Complex Needs
Location: Canvey Island, Essex
Shifts: Days Only - Tuesday to Sunday, 8:00am-8:00pm
Superior Healthcare is seeking an experienced and compassionate Support Worker to support an individual living with an acquired brain injury in the Canvey Island area. This is a highly rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in someone's life by providing person-centred care, promoting independence, and supporting their ongoing journey.
About the Role
Working on a 1:1 basis, you will support the client both at home and within the community, delivering high-quality care tailored to their individual needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing personal care and daily living support
- Assisting with mobility
- Encouraging independence through motivation and positive engagement
- Administering and supporting with regular medication
- Managing and de-escalating behaviours that may challenge
- Supporting community access and social activities
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience supporting individuals with brain injuries (essential)
- Experience managing and de-escalating challenging behaviours
- Confidence supporting individuals with complex clinical needs
- A calm, patient, and resilient approach to care
- A genuine passion for delivering outstanding person-centred support
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (essential)
- Full right to work in the UK
