We are looking for reliable and confident Healthcare Assistants to support a male client living in the Braintree area. Our client has a spinal injury resulting in full paralysis from the neck down and requires 24/7 2:1 waking care. This is a well-established package with a settled team in place. We are now recruiting additional members of the team to fill the gaps.
About the role
You will be supporting a male client in his late 30s who has full mental capacity and lives at home with a consistent care routine. Duties include:
- Maintaining safety and comfort throughout the night
- Manual handling and repositioning
- Personal care
- Monitoring skin integrity
- Supporting a stable, structured nighttime routine
Shifts are:
- 12-hour waking nights (8pm-8am)
- 12-hour days (8am-8pm) also available when additional cover is needed
Both male and female carers are welcome to apply.
What we're looking for
We'd love to hear from carers who have:
- Experience supporting clients with spinal injuries, mobility needs or complex physical care
- Strong skills in safe manual handling
- Confidence working within a structured 2:1 package
- A full UK driving licence and access to their own vehicle
- The ability to commit to regular weekly shifts
- Are already based in the UK (we cannot offer sponsorship)
