We are recruiting a Complex Healthcare Assistant to support a young female with Wolf-Hirschhorn syndrome. She has severe epilepsy, global developmental delay, a history of spinal surgery, central and obstructive sleep apnoea requiring NIV/BiPAP ventilation at night, profound hearing loss, diabetes, and requires support with enteral feeding, gastrostomy medication, and oral suction.

Superior Healthcare provides round-the-clock care packages to support people living with long-term health conditions to live in the comfort and safety of their own homes. As a Community Healthcare Assistant, you will join our complex care team and work long-term with one or a small number of clients. You will benefit from a fixed rota with the option of overtime. We are ideally looking for carers, support workers, and healthcare assistants who are keen to work full-time hours; however, part-time roles are offered.

How we’ll support you: Superior Healthcare will provide full, paid classroom-based training when you join us, paid induction shifts, and ongoing supervision support from our in-house team of nurses and supervisors. If a client’s needs mean that you require extra skills (for example, if they need assistance to meet their nutritional requirements), we will provide paid, specialist training to ensure that you, as a community care assistant, can confidently support their needs and develop your own skills.

If you are eager to build a rapport with one or a small number of clients within your local community, keen to broaden your skills, and welcome the consistency of the work that Superior Healthcare can offer, we hope to hear from you!

Shifts: 8am - 2pm or 2pm to 8pm

Benefits:

  • Pay rates £14.00 - £17.00 per hour
  • Thorough induction and ongoing paid training
  • Option to work towards an NVQ/Diploma
  • Holiday Pay
  • Great Company Pension
  • Blue Light Card - we’ll pay for it!
  • Referral Scheme: receive Amazon vouchers when you refer-a-friend
  • Access to employee assistance program
  • Menopause support
  • Ongoing support provided by our team of nurses and supervisors

Healthcare Assistant Requirements:

  • Previous care experience involving personal care
  • A full UK driving license and access to your own vehicle
  • A minimum commitment of 2x shifts a week
  • You must be based in the UK to apply for this role - we do not offer VISA sponsorship

So, whether you’re a support worker, healthcare assistant, or community care assistant, we would love to hear from you!
