About The Role:

We are looking for experienced and highly capable Managers to provide operational oversight across our Children's Residential Homes in East Sussex. This is a pivotal leadership role designed to strengthen stability, consistency, and compliance across services, while providing hands-on support to Registered Managers and Responsible Individuals. This role exists to ensure that no home within SuperCare drops below our expected standards, regardless of staffing challenges, transitions or external pressures. The Super Lead will be in a senior operational leadership role, responsible for maintaining stability, performance and compliance across multiple homes. You will step into homes during periods of pressure, transition, or absence, and play a key role in maintaining high standards of care and safeguarding.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide oversight across all homes, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and the Children's Home Regulations 2015
  • Work closely with Responsible Individuals to ensure each home has strong, consistent leadership and operational support
  • Be trusted to make decisive operational decisions when required, always in the best interests of our young people and the stability of our homes
  • Offer hands-on support to Registered Managers, particularly during periods of challenge, transition or increased risk
  • Be able to step in as Acting / Interim Home Manager during sickness, absence, or vacancies where required
  • Maintain high standards of safeguarding, care quality and regulatory compliance across all services
  • Lead and support on serious incident reviews, audits and quality improvement plans
  • Support Managers in embedding consistent routines, structure and emotional safety for young people
  • Work collaboratively with external professionals
  • Provide guidance and support on staffing, recruitment and safer recruitment practices
  • Oversee and support performance management, supervision and development of management teams
  • Take responsibility for our Super Squad, including rota planning, deployment and operational expectations
  • Support the development and effectiveness of the Super Team model across homes

About You:

We are looking for an experienced, resilient and credible leader who can operate at pace whilst maintaining high standards of care and compliance. You will have:

  • Experience as a Deputy Manager or above within a Children's Residential Home
  • Proven ability to stabilise, lead and improve services in challenging environments
  • Strong working knowledge of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding frameworks and compliance expectations
  • A calm, authoritative and trauma-informed leadership style
  • The ability to step into leadership roles quickly and effectively
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capability
  • Confidence in supporting and developing other leaders
  • Must be willing to become a Registered Manager on a temporary or permanent basis if operationally needed
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare
