Role Purpose
This role is in place to assist the company in maximising profitability and minimising expenditure through efficient and effective management of A S Watson's store estate, including Savers, Superdrug, 3 and The Perfume Shop together with any future brand acquisitions.
Typical Day & Responsibilities
- Responsible for a geographical area with approx. 210 stores across all brands.
- Manage lease renewals, lease extensions, rent reviews and other lease events in-house.
- Ensure notices are served on time, negotiate and report deals, instruct solicitors and complete legal agreements.
- Provide input on property strategy and recommendations based on store performance.
- Manage external agents and liaise with solicitors, building surveyors, finance, accounts teams and property management.
- Ensure robust rent budgeting, rent runs and invoice processing are completed accurately and on schedule.
- Support acquisitions teams with store relocation or upsize information.
- Support audit processes to ensure compliance.
Qualifications & Experience
- Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors with at least 3 years postāqualification experience in retail property.
- Extensive knowledge of Landlord and Tenant Legislation, strong property network connections, and retail market trends.
- Ability to travel within region and attend team events/meetings.
- Successful estates/lease management of a multiāsite retail property portfolio of comparable scope and scale.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and internal databases.
