Here’s The Exciting Bit… A Day Includes

The BI Developer designs and delivers dashboards, data models, and ETL processes that provide actionable insights to the business. Reporting to the Lead BI Developer, this role contributes to the organisation’s ability to make data-driven decisions and improve customer outcomes. Generate detailed customer focused initiatives, in line with the IT Department strategy and support with execution. Listen to the customer and implement new ideas and ways of working which are designed to improve service considering both Online and Offline. Whilst ensuring the team prioritises actions which delight the customer/team member.

Key Responsibilities

• Working closely with business stakeholders, Data Engineers, and other developers.
• Translating requirements into Power BI reports and SQL queries.
• Understanding business operations and how to translate them into usable data solutions.
• Driving innovation within the Data & BI team through improved standards and solutions.
• Supporting sprint objectives by delivering dashboards and data models.
• Providing outputs that managers and analysts rely on for operational performance.
• Participating in Agile ceremonies and collaborating across the team.
• Customer Focused: Be the voice of customers and orchestrate the organisation to live the brand purpose and inspire a customer-first culture to build customer love in every touchpoint of our O+O platform.
• Tech & AI: Helping your team understand when to use AI, when to rely on human judgment, and how to combine both.
• Tech & AI: Rethinking how work gets done - Actively shifting work from repetitive tasks to higher-value activities as AI takes on routine work.
• Tech & AI: Role modelling behaviours to encourage confidence with AI. Actively developing your ability to use AI effectively and think critically about outputs.

What You’ll Need

• Significant experience in BI development and SQL.
• You will be qualified in a relevant field and with relevant certifications. (PL300 or other)
• You will understand the core principles of agile delivery and data modelling.
• You will have expert knowledge of Power BI, SQL, Fabric, and Jira.
• Your experience will have equipped you to deliver dashboards and collaborate effectively in Scrum teams.
• Proactively keeping up to date with market and consumer trends in the specialism and feed this into the IT strategy.
• Use data and insights to challenge the status quo to keep us ahead of the competition.
• Use data to inform and generate new ideas and make decisions to improve on future plans.
