About The Role
The DC Communications Executive is responsible for supporting key internal stakeholders to deliver all distribution and transport messaging. Starting at a strategic level, they will support internal departments to drive the engagement of our teams across all aspects of our Distribution Centres. A key part of this role will be to oversee communications across all internal channels, including an internal communications platform as well as the organisation and execution of in-house events designed to increase team engagement across all departments. They will manage a calendar of communications across 2 distribution locations that aligns with the Superdrug internal communications strategy.
Typical Day Looks Like
- Work as part of the Internal Comms team to maintain a rolling calendar of activity across internal channels that aligns with our employer brand and wider business strategies, creating a sense of belonging, purpose and leaving team members feeling informed and included.
- Ownership of all distribution and transport specific communications plans and management of communications mapping across the distribution centres. This is inclusive of operational communications, such as health and safety messaging.
- Working with key stakeholders including, but not limited to, the Supply Chain Director, Heads of Departments, wider operational managers and the onsite people teams to cascade information within the distribution and transport teams.
- Building relationships across all departments to stay close to their communications priorities, acting as an expert when they need to push messages out to specific audiences.
- Supporting the people team with DEI calendar execution at distribution centres.
- Partnering with our corporate charity partner to engage team members in fundraising and understanding impact.
- Reporting on and analysis of internal comms to share updates with key stakeholders, measuring impact of all activity delivered.
- Management of the internal comms platform for all relevant departments, including administration and reporting.
- Work with wider internal communications team to create digital content for relevant channels, manage internal media screens across distribution centres.
- Act as a brand guardian for all communications created, including tone of voice.
