Here’s the exciting bit…a day includes
- Building and maintaining data pipelines and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using tools such as Alteryx, SQL Warehouse, Azure, and Databricks to ensure smooth data flow and integration.
- Collaborating with Business Analysts and MI Developers to provide guidance and best practices for data handling and processing.
- Ensuring data quality and integrity through rigorous testing and validation procedures.
- Working closely with the IT team to implement and maintain data storage solutions such as data lakes, data warehouses, and traditional databases.
- Developing and maintaining documentation for data processes and workflows to ensure transparency and traceability.
- Starting an analytics engineer program to build curated data models for general business use.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience with data storage technologies such as data lakes, data warehouses, and traditional Oracle and SQL databases.
- Strong knowledge of industry best practices around data engineering in both cloud-based and on-premises solutions.
- Certifications such as Databricks Azure Platform Architect, Azure Data Engineer Associate or Fabric Analytics Engineer are beneficial.
- Expertise in building and maintaining data pipelines and ETL processes using Alteryx, SQL Warehouse, Azure, and Databricks.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and facilitation skills, particularly for problem-solving and troubleshooting activities.
- Experience with Azure Databricks would be beneficial.
