Day Includes:
- Lead the development, implementation and expansion of in‑house health clinic services, ensuring they are clinically robust, safe, evidence‑based and fully aligned with regulatory standards.
- Act as the Responsible Supervising Clinician for Yellow Fever services, maintaining accreditation and providing high‑quality patient care.
- Collaborate with healthcare, operations and trading teams to design, implement and optimise clinical service offerings.
- Provide advanced clinical expertise in service expansion, advising on clinical models, risk management and patient pathways.
- Influence the strategic direction of Superdrug’s clinic services portfolio, supporting innovation and service growth.
- Embed robust clinical governance frameworks within clinic services.
- Evaluate service performance and clinical quality to drive continuous improvement.
- Act as a clinical leader and subject‑matter expert, supporting internal stakeholders on medicines and clinic‑based care matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the creation, development and continuous improvement of clinic‑based healthcare services.
- Strategically develop in‑house clinic services in collaboration with the healthcare services team.
- Authorise, review and sign off Patient Group Directions (PGDs) and Patient Specific Directions (PSDs).
- Provide complex clinical advice and decision‑making support across clinic services.
- Develop, review and approve clinic policies, procedures and guidance documentation.
- Support regulatory compliance across all health clinic services.
- Represent the organisation at external stakeholder groups, professional forums and conferences.
- Support clinical governance frameworks and assurance processes.
- Manage the health clinics development cost centre, ensuring effective budget oversight and resource utilisation.

- Lead investigations of incidents, complaints and near misses, implementing corrective actions.

What You’ll Need To Succeed:
- GPhC‑registered pharmacist (essential).
- Independent Prescriber qualification (essential).
- Strong experience in medicines governance, prescribing and clinical service delivery, focusing on patient safety and quality outcomes.
- Proven track record in developing, implementing and improving healthcare services, ideally in community pharmacy or clinic settings.
- Experience reviewing, authorising and maintaining PGDs and related prescribing frameworks.
- Ability to provide complex clinical advice and autonomous decision‑making with sound judgement.
- Strong understanding of regulatory, legal and professional frameworks (GPhC, CQC, national guidance).
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, influencing skills and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
- Sound financial awareness, including budget and cost‑centre management.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and up‑to‑date clinical knowledge.
- Willingness to represent the organisation externally at forums, conferences and stakeholder meetings.
- Highly developed communication, organisational and analytical skills, with strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
