The Internal Communications Manager is responsible for driving the engagement of our teams across the business, providing clarity, direction, and motivation for key business activities. They are a communications specialist, providing support to other areas of the business to ensure communication aligns with the brand's wider strategies. The Internal Communications Manager will oversee comms across a variety of channels, acting as a brand ambassador for Superdrug’s vision, mission and values.
- Management of Internal Communications platform Pulse, Life at Superdrug social channels and LinkedIn.
- Liaising across different departments and elements of the business, creating a variety of comms and content creation.
- Working with stakeholders including, but not exclusive to, the Exec team, Commercial, Healthcare, People, IT and Distribution centre and store teams to ensure their comms are delivered in an engaging way across relevant channels.
- Working from different locations, including head office, distribution centre or out in stores – depending on the project.
- Managing the Internal Communications budget.
- Supporting the DEI and ESG strategies with communications plans throughout the year, including working with external charity partners to execute their engagement plans across the business.
- Ideation, creation and execution of internal events, for example with suppliers.
- Sharing reporting and analysis of the engagement of the business and consulting departments on where there are opportunities for them to evolve their approach.
- Listening to the customer and implementing new ideas and ways of working designed to improve service considering both Online and Offline.
Customer Focus: Be the voice of customers and orchestrate the organisation to live the brand purpose and inspire a customer-first culture to build customer love in every touchpoint of our online and offline platform.
You enjoy managing multiple projects, working with a variety of teams. Have confidence in creating and executing multi-layered communications strategies. You have excellent creative and editorial ability that can translate on paper, screen and face-to-face communications. You have developed the ability to create content and copy to reflect appropriate tone of voice, sentiment and clarity. You enjoy networking, developing relationships and keeping up to date with industry best practice. You will have working knowledge of managing internal communications platforms or similar. Uses data and insights to challenge the status quo to keep us ahead of the competition. Balancing AI efficiency with human coaching, empathy, and team cohesion.
