Hours: 37.5 | 9.00am - 5.30pm - Hybrid working available depending on role responsibilities with 2 days working from home and 3 days in our stylish, modern and collaborative office close to East Croydon Station.

The Retail Finance team plays a critical role in driving commercial performance across Superdrug’s store estate. This role is responsible for delivering high‑quality financial insight, analysis and challenge to Retail and Store Operations. The Finance Analyst will partner with operational teams to provide financial information related to the retail area, improve cost efficiency and support decision‑making, while also contributing broader support across store cost lines including variable costs, shrinkage, Beauty Services and wages.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business partnering the Retail and Store Operations teams, providing timely, accurate and insightful analysis to support delivery of company targets and profitability.
  • Preparation of monthly store P&L’s and providing analysis on specific store performance.
  • Monthly creation and calculation of the Retail Bonus KPI’s.
  • Ownership of balance sheet process across retail finance team ensuring data is robust.
  • Translate complex financial and operational data into clear, actionable insight for non-finance stakeholders.
  • Proactive analysis of performance by region, area and store across 6 regions, 51 areas and c800 stores, ensuring operational teams have everything they need to understand their cost base and ways we can influence spend.
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting processes providing quarterly forecasts and annual budgets, including 3 forecasts a year alongside a corporate budgeting process.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve reporting, processes and system use to deliver better insight efficiently.
  • Assisting the wider team on wages, shrinkage and beauty services as required.
  • Substituting for the Retail Finance Manager in their absence.

What You’ll Need

  • Part Qualified CIMA/ACCA or relevant University degree (minimum of 2:1 grade).
  • Experience using Excel (essential), working knowledge of Oracle (desirable).
  • Strong communication and time‑management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑pace and dynamic environment, summarising detailed data and presenting it clearly for all levels of the business.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage parallel workflows with tight deadlines.
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships both across the business and with third parties, including working with non-finance stakeholders.
