We’re looking for a meticulous and methodical Quality Controller to join Superco, a leading Shopify Plus agency. You’ll be responsible for ensuring every Shopify store we launch meets our exacting standards across design, development, UX, and performance. This is a key delivery role that ensures quality is embedded at every stage of our process, from staging reviews to post-launch QA.
Key Responsibilities
- QA Process Management
- Define and manage QA checklists across front-end, performance, and UX
- Test Shopify builds across devices and browsers for responsiveness, accuracy, and bugs
- Review functionality of apps, custom features, and third-party integrations
- Validate content accuracy, including product data, navigation, and copy
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with developers to identify and reproduce bugs or performance issues
- Liaise with designers to ensure pixel-perfect execution of Figma designs
- Coordinate with project managers to align on QA timelines and launch readiness
- Support training and documentation around QA best practices
- Site Performance & Compliance
- Run speed, accessibility, and SEO checks using tools like Lighthouse, PageSpeed Insights, and WAVE
- Ensure sites meet WCAG accessibility standards and follow UX best practices
- Review analytics tagging, cookie banners, and legal compliance elements where required
- Continuous Improvement
- Maintain and evolve QA processes to match new Shopify features and client needs
- Share learnings across the team and help embed quality throughout our delivery approach
- Flag recurring issues or process breakdowns and propose improvements
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in quality assurance or quality control, ideally in a digital agency or eCommerce environment
- Strong understanding of Shopify, including themes, apps, and front-end functionality
- High attention to detail and a structured, thorough approach to testing
- Familiarity with browser testing tools, bug tracking systems (e.g. Linear, Jira), and QA documentation
- Ability to manage QA cycles across multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
Bonus Points
- Experience working with Shopify Plus brands
- Familiarity with Liquid, HTML/CSS, or basic JavaScript debugging
- Exposure to Agile delivery workflows
- Experience testing international/multi-market stores and third-party integrations
